Before You Start
Before recording, make sure you have:
- Your presentation ready to open.
- A working microphone.
- A webcam if your assignment requires you to appear on camera.
- A quiet place to record.
- Your Crestmont University/CIU Microsoft account signed in.
We recommend closing any unnecessary applications or browser tabs before you begin recording.

- Your voice can be heard clearly.
- Your slides are visible.

Edit Your Video
Clipchamp allows you to make basic changes to your recording before submitting it.
You can:
- Trim the beginning or end of the recording.
- Remove sections you do not need.
- Adjust the position or size of your webcam video.
- Add text or other simple elements.
If you recorded your screen and camera together, Clipchamp may place them as separate elements in the editor,
allowing you to adjust how your camera appears over your presentation.
Save or Export Your Presentation
- Once you are satisfied with your recording, select Export or Finish,
depending on the version of Clipchamp you are using.
- Follow the prompts to save your completed recording.
- If an MP4 download option is available, save the file somewhere you can easily find it,
such as your Downloads folder or OneDrive.
- Upload or submit the recording according to the instructions provided in your course.
If Your Camera or Microphone Is Not Working
If Clipchamp cannot access your camera or microphone, try the following:
- Make sure you selected Allow when your browser requested access to your camera or microphone.
- Check that another application, such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom, is not currently using your camera or microphone.
- In your browser, select the lock or site-settings icon next to the address bar and confirm that Camera and Microphone permissions are allowed.
- Refresh Clipchamp and try again.
